Located on a mountainside in western Massachusetts, this home offers two bedrooms and a dramatic raised living room ceiling. On just over 2,000 sq.ft., it still feels remarkably spacious thanks to its open‑plan layout.

The client requested a 12‑foot ceiling height in the main living area. Because transportation regulations limit our standard module height to a 9‑foot ceiling — the trucks must fit under bridges — we had to get creative. Our solution was to add a three‑foot‑high “hat” module on top of the living room, achieving the desired interior height while staying within DOT limits.
