Alexander Kolbe

CEO & Co-Founder, Head of Design

Alexander is a passionate designer with more than 30 years of experience designing high‑end, energy‑efficient homes in Europe and the United States. Before founding evoDOMUS, he worked for leading green luxury prefab builders in Germany, where he helped pioneer modern, factory‑built homes with exceptional performance and design quality. At evoDOMUS, he leads the overall design vision of each project, ensuring that every home combines clear architectural ideas, careful detailing, and rigorous building science.

When he’s not in the studio, he’s often in the air—an instrument‑rated pilot who visits projects and clients across the country.

Mike "Bocce" Farinacci

VP of Product Delivery

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in high‑end residential work, combining a degree in architecture from Kent State University with hands‑on carpentry and architectural practice. He spent several years as a rough and finish carpenter before joining an architecture firm. At evoDOMUS, he serves as Vice President of Product Delivery, acting as the hinge between design, the manufacturing plant, and on‑site construction to ensure that what is drawn is precisely what gets built. Away from work, he honors his Italian roots on the bocce court—hence the nickname.

Robert W. Shearer

Project Management, Architect NCARB

Rob is a licensed architect who has devoted much of his career to energy‑efficient home design and building science. After earning his license in 2003 and working on commercial projects with Cleveland architects and developers, he shifted his focus to high‑performance residential work and became Program Coordinator for a major Midwestern electric utility’s new‑home energy‑efficiency incentive program. In that role he worked closely with builders across the state, helping them improve construction quality and energy performance, and earned his HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rater qualification. When policy changes ended the program, Rob joined evoDOMUS, where his passion for beautiful modern design and extremely efficient home construction finally came together in one place. Outside of work, he spends as much time as possible outdoors with his wife and three sons and can often be found foraging and cooking wild foods at his cabin in the Allegheny National Forest.

Nici Trem

Interior Designer

Nici is an interior designer with a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University and over 20 years of experience in the interior design industry. Her work spans both residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom design, as well as office, healthcare, and hospitality environments.

Cooper.jpg

And Cooper

The Boss
Safety Officer, Head of Recreation Department

Every company needs a chief morale officer. Cooper has held the position at evoDOMUS for years.

Cooper’s field of expertise is keeping staff and clients safe and entertained. He is in charge of treats and toys, while making sure that no one passes by the office unnoticed. He’s a true asset with his extraordinary knowledge in testing the durability of tennis balls and shoes, as well as in his double function as undercover paper shredder.

His favorite pastime is making his humans throw sticks for him. He loves to take extensive walks in the woods or around our beautiful lakes.
